The end is here, dear readers... of my Countdown anthology experiment!

I am admittedly late with my final Countdown To Horror Zero Tale.
The final tale has taken a life of its own and I have had to catch up with it.
The original tale has morphed from one horror tale,
Title to remain unknown,
Into the different horror tale I have almost finished for you, as of today.
I will present this tale to you by next Monday, September 13th, 2015.

I may publish it this week,
I'll see.

So, it is nearly done.
The title is... The Siren In The Shed Behind The House!

I believe you will like this tale of a man who inherits a big house on lots of land from his dead uncle.
And on that property,
In the large shed in the back of the house,
Is something alive that will blow this man's mind, and soul, away from reality...
Into his new reality paradigm.

DEATH CLAIMS ANOTHER HORROR VICTORY

All horror centers around this central component -- Death!

For humans, what is more horrible that the thought of meeting death?

And, in what way will you meet death?

By a snake bite?

By a car crash?

Eaten by an animal predator?

Killed by another human being?

Or, will you meet death vicariously by way of the imagination of another human --

Be he, or she, a writer or a film maker.

I've always preferred to meet death and horror through the imagination,

And through the lens,

Of a horror master like... Wes Craven!

And, son-of-a-bitch,
How ironic is it that death itself...
The ultimate horror trope...
Silences the masters of horror.

Goodbye, Wes Craven.
I have known your work for all of my life.
I will miss you and your powers... until death claims me, too.

The end is near, dear readers... of my Countdown anthology experiment!

After today,

I have one more horror tale to present to you in this particular Horrorwalker world!

The Countdown To Horror Zero finishes in two weeks from today,

And the sadness felt by this writer is palpable and profound.

So, in two weeks, the final story for this horror show will be released.

That tale is: HORROR ZERO.

That horror will be in your life very soon.

(TO THE LAST QUARTER TABLESPOON)

The final three tales in this horror anthology are soon to be presented to the world at large over the upcoming few weeks of the Summer of 2015. This horror story project has been a blast to my brain... my creative thought processes... and I am so honored to have actual real life humans take a few moments of their precious time, from week to week, to actually stop what they are doing for a short time and read the horror stories that I write.

Thank you very much, all. This project, like all of the dozens of stories I invent every week, is essentially non-paid catharsis to keep this always on mind sane. I am in the poorhouse because of all this free content, but that does not prevent me from the obsessive need to write for you! 

I self-edit my own work. And so, a real life horror caveat that I have dealt with for over fifty decades might have reared its ugly horror head, absolutely invisible to me, in the form of my "self-diagnosed" dyslexic flaws in my transference of my words from brain to page. So, if you have seen a weird bit of grammar in my writing... well, always keep in mind that at least I write well enough to allow you at know what I mean, I hope.

This horror journey has been an exercise in remembering the difference between the word exorcise and exercise, for an example of the simple things that can trip-up a writer if he, or she, has an issue in the brain. But, I hope that in revealing this personal information about myself, I will give at least one reader of what I write the hope that he, or she, can write down the thoughts inside their brains and share those thought, if they would like to do so.

OK, that was a little insight into me and a part of my motivations for writing.

In conclusion, again, this is a thank you love letter to horror fans... and to those of you who have taken the time to, by proxy, show me something back in reading what I write. And I hope these final three Countdown To Horror Zero tales of Horrorwalker horror bring you horror enjoyment as you, again, tune in to me and this horror world I invented for you... and for me, too.

Thanks... and look for my next tale to arrive tomorrow, or perhaps, in a few days. I really am saddened that the end of this project is near completing. I might string this on for a few extra weeks, so please don't hate me if I do.

Finally, I plan to take these sixty plus tales and bind them into a physical tome soon after I am concluded with my final Countdown To Horror Zero Tale. This unique horror exercise is made for that format. My plan is to publish this work and travel across the country to sign the books and meet all of the good fans of horror... and science fiction and fantasy and humor and all the rest... and let you see who I am.

As a way of paying you back for taking your time to help me, I promise to continue writing all kinds of tales like the ones you have taken the time to read from me. The bizarre alien probe,

In the form of a 12 foot wide orb with its 360 degree television-like surface,

Hovered five feet off the ground mere yards from our huddled group.

The warn out humans in my camp,

Battered by our soul killing circumstance,

Sat mesmerized as the alien on the screen scolded us until it reached...

 Log Entry 1002!

Afterward,

The probe flew off into the sunny sky,

Leaving all 23 of my people limp because their reality was now... a moot point!

We all now have the story of Log Entry 1002 etched into our minds.

The probe imprinted all we saw and heard directly into our memories.

And now we all look at each other and ask ourselves...

Where is our meaning now?

The alien observer returned to a tainted earth after hundreds of years away exploring other planets in the galaxy. 

What it found when it returned appalled it to the point that it decided to intervene in human progress.

It took extreme action against “the human pestilence” by laying waste to most of the earth’s population within weeks.

And now I, and a handful of survivors, are left gobsmacked by the words if left with us as it left earth... “There Is No God!”
